Hero Animals really make me weepy. This Trooper Tuesday features another assistance dog, Buddy.
Buddy, a German Shepherd and his owner Joe Stalnaker were at home when Buddy noticed that Stalnaker was
experiencing a seizure. Buddy, an assistance dog, raced to the phone and pushed the pre-programmed numbers with his teeth to call 911. The 
dispatcher who answered the phone heard Buddy’s loud barking and sent help immediately. Emergency workers arrived to find Stalnaker unconscious on the floor with Buddy standing by him. After his recovery at a nearby hospital, Stalnaker said Buddy will always be his hero.
